Earth and Arbor Day 2009 Expo
Despite the uncertainty brought by the weather, we did have a couple of good solid hours in the mix of rain, wind and sun. Several thousand Northbrook residents and those from surrounding communities attended the event. There was an abundance of good energy and curiosity about the future of sustainability. My “Sustainable Addition” project, illustrated the sustainable opportunities available to a 1950 era brick ranch, generated a good deal of interest. The Earth and Arbor Day 2009 Expo is a great place to meet people with interests in sustainability and to learn about others in the community.
